APSPA Elections

KRISTEN SNYDER'S
TREASURER PLATFORM STATEMENT:
I am seeking election as Treasurer for Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants (APSPA) because I believe that I have a lot to offer the position. I bring experience to the position as I have served as Treasurer for APSPA for the past year. As a result, I know the financial and membership needs of the organization. Since taking on this responsibility, I have made sure that our bills were up to date, our taxes were filed, memberships were updated, new member letters and certificates were mailed out, as well as financial reports made available. I also bring with me the experience of being the Treasurer of Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants (FCPA) for the past 4 years, and currently am still serving this position. I have also been an AAPA HOD Representative from Florida in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. I also have served as past Secretary for Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA).

I have practiced as a PA in the field of Plastic Surgery since 2000, so I have a vested interest in the future of PA's practicing in this area. We have many pressing issues facing our profession, as well as our specialty, and my passion is to see the best possible outcome for each of these issues. I plan on practicing in our specialty for years to come. Because of my experience in the AAPA House of Delegates, FAPA, FCPA, and APSPA, I am knowledgeable and very aware of the issues facing us individually and the profession as a whole. I think by serving on the Board of APSPA as Treasurer, I can continue to make a difference in our organization. Thank you for your attention.

Chrysa Charno Secretary Platform Statement:
Allow me to introduce myself to those I may have not met- my name is Chrysa Charno and I am your current Secretary running again for a second two year term. For the past two years, I have worked diligently with our board of directors to develop a fun membership friendly environment. We have achieved many of our goals including developing online newsletters, increasing membership recruitment, exhibiting at ASPS and developing relationships that benefit the PA-Physician Team at the national level as well as obtaining corporate sponsorships on a yearly basis to fund our efforts. Ultimately we have created the best possible environment for plastic surgery PAs and hope to grow even more in the very near future.

I have practiced in the field of plastic surgery for the past 4 years and have most recently moved from a university practice into a private office setting with my surgeon. I am set to graduate with my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) the day before our business meeting in May - so my education and current years as your Secretary are proof that I work hard to make things happen. Please allow me to continue serving you.
