Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants

We Miss You!
Your membership has expired with APSPA (Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants) and we are writing you to encourage you to re-new! There have been so many exciting things happening, not only within the PA profession, but with PAs practicing in plastic surgery!

· We are continually working on our developing relationship with ASPS and the Aesthetic Society to recognize Physician Assistants as collaborative colleagues, rather than “support staff.” The ASPS is currently granted us Affiliate Membership so we could have access to journals and CME meetings that are specific to the area we are practicing in. This may also allow us a seat on their national board meetings and, in return, their support for the PA practice.

· We are looking to develop CME opportunities for our members, not only at the AAPA national conference – but at other plastic surgery events around the nation- for FREE.

· We had a Round Table discussion event on Utilization of a Plastic Surgery PA at the ASPS National Meeting last year in Toronto and due to it's overwhelming success were asked back to have a course this year at the meeting in Denver.

· We just had our semi-annual meeting at the AAPA conference last week with wine and cheese sponsored by Allergan and then dinner to follow sponsored by J&J.

· We have a mission to encourage PA participation in overseas mission trips to underdeveloped nations.

· We are working on the first ever Journal for Plastic Surgery PAs, an excellent resource for product information, new techniques and case-based discussions.

These are just a few reasons why we encourage you to join APSPA again for another year. We look forward to your feedback and insight on how we can maximize PA utilization in the field of plastic surgery throughout the nation.

We also invite you to visit our updated website at www.apspa.net. A membership application is available there.

We look forward to hearing from you!
